Louise Hansson

My name is Louise Hansson and for 11 months I lived in Michigan, US as an Exchange Student.

My year in Michigan was really the best!! I lived with a wonderful hostfamily where all members had a heart made out of gold. They treated me like I was their own child. I had a fantastic brother and sister that I miss soo much now when I’m back in Sweden. Today I miss a part of my heart - that I left in the US. A part that belongs to all my new friends and family I’ve met during my Exchange Year.

My greatest memory is probably from HIGH SCHOOL STATE FINAL in American Football. I don’t think many exchange student will experience that their school will win State. : ) It was totally awesome!

I not so fun experience was when I tore my hamstring during a basketball game. I was the cheerleader and was laying on the floor hurt during the game. : ) I ended up with crutches and the hospital the next day.
Today I’ve been home in Sweden since July 7th 2009 and I can’t wait until I go to the US again. But then I will probably study in college.
