Keep in touch

When you come back to your home country you want to keep in touch with as many as possible. Easiest way is for sure through internet. There are many communities where you can write to each other. MSN is also a very good tool to keep in touch. Another tip is also to keep writing your diary here on exchangestudentworld.com and give the address to your friends. Then they will be able to follow what you are doing and at the same time write comments.
It is not always easy to have friends over distance. You will notice that time runs away and you haven’t talked to all friends that you would liked to. A tip is then to do small things that mean a lot, like sending them a card on there birthdays or holidays. Of course you will choose how to keep in touch with your friends, but whatever you do, don’t forget them! It is not everybody who has friends all over the world!

Student stories

Denmark Nicoline Nielsen Windom, MN - USA (2004 -05)
It’s so hard to keep in touch, let me say it. I got MSN, but because of the time difference, I have to stay up during the night to talk to my American friends who just got home from school. It just doesn’t work in the long run. I keep in touch with my hostsister. We write old fashion letters, which makes its fun to get mail, and sit down and read this handwritten letter. I try to mail my friends as often I can, but I’m busy and they are busy, so it makes its harder. I have been back three times so far, because I really miss them all, and it’s like my second home. It’s so hard to leave, and I know for sure that I’ll be back again. I can’t imagine that day I have to say goodbye.
